During the summer months La Plagne is an ideal setting for a family holiday offering a variety of activities to suit all ages and tastes.
With well marked trails, walking and mountain biking are especially popular. Many ski lifts operate throughout the summer season allowing you to visit some of the most picturesque peaks and lakes in the area and navigate back down on gentle slopes or steep rides.
A visit to the glacier offers stunning views and a you can have a guided tour and visit the ice cave with it’s ice sculptures.
Alternatively thrill seekers can go kayaking, white water rafting, paragliding or horseriding. In Plagne Bellecote you can visit the Urban Park which includes a skatepark, bike park and a giant airbag and you are able to loan skateboards, scooters or rollerblades with protective equipment for free.
If you prefer a more relaxing break you can go for gentle walks enjoying the clean air, mountain flora and breathtaking views or only a short one hour drive away is Lake Annecy with its town and villages offering historic buildings along with an abundance of restaurants, cafes and shops.
Chalet Ecole, La Petite Ecole and La Creche are available on a self-catered basis throughout the summer and are a great base from which to explore the beautiful French Alps.
