Terms and Conditions

DEFINITIONS:

“The Client(s)”: includes all individuals named on the booking form.

“Accommodation” or “chalet”: the chalet (either Chalet Ecole and/or La Petite Ecole and/or the Apartment as stated on the booking form and all exterior areas).

“Party organiser”: the person signing the booking form and/or any business, firm or corporate entity making or placing a booking.

CONTRACT:

A contract exists between the respective chalet owner and the client(s) once the deposit and the booking form (signed by the Party Organiser) has been received and receipt has been confirmed by us.  The Party Organiser guarantees payment in full of the total cost, and does so on behalf of, and with the consent of all who the booking is made for.  Upon receipt of the booking form and correct deposit we will send a confirmation of booking by email.

PAYMENT:

For bookings made 8 weeks or more before arrival date a deposit of 25% must be received and then full payment must be received no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival.  If a booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival date the full payment must be received with the completed booking form.

A damages/cleaning deposit is required for all self-catered bookings and this must be received with the final balance 8 weeks prior to arrival.  We will inform you of any damage/charges within one week of departure.  We will make a transfer to return any deposit due to you one week after your departure once checkout is completed.  We agree to refund money due one week after departure but cannot be held responsible for any delays thereafter.

If we do not receive all payments in full and on time, we reserve the right to cancel a clients booking and the cancellation charges outlined below will apply.

CANCELLATION:

By the client:

All cancellations must be made in writing by the Party Organiser and will only become effective when received by us. In the event of cancellation the following charges apply:

8 weeks or more before arrival: 25% deposit*

Between 4 and 8 weeks of arrival: 50% total amount

Within 4 weeks of arrival: 100% total amount

Any costs, including legal expenses, involved in us collecting any outstanding amounts will be paid by you in addition to the cancellation charge.

*Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances

By Ski La Roche Ltd: Ski La Roche reserves the right in any circumstances to cancel your holiday. However, we will not cancel your holiday less than 8 weeks before your scheduled arrival date, except for reasons of “force majeure” including war, political unrest, weather, strikes, acts of god, epidemics, riots, civil strike, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural and technical disaster.

If we cancel or make any alteration to the holiday, we will inform the party organiser as soon as possible and will offer, in the case of alteration, the choice of accepting the alternative if available, or in either case, a full refund of all monies paid. We cannot pay expenses, costs or losses incurred by you as a result of a change or cancellation. Ski La Roche do not accept any liability or make refunds in respect of any change or cancellation we make as a result of force majeure.

ALTERATIONS:

If the client(s) wish to make alterations to the booking these should be made in writing by the Party Organiser. We will attempt to comply with any reasonable request for an amendment to a booking made after the booking has been confirmed, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.  In the event of an amendment terms and conditions will continue to apply.

INSURANCE:

You must be adequately insured for your holiday. It is your responsibility to ensure the insurance cover you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular requirements.  We do not check your insurance policies.

OTHER CLIENTS:

You will be responsible for your own travel arrangements and insurance.

Clients undertake to behave in such a way as not to disrupt the enjoyment of others or damage Ski La Roche Ltd’s reputation.  Ski La Roche reserve the right to terminate without notice, refund or compensation the holiday of any client(s) who in our opinion behaves in such a way as to cause, or be likely to cause, danger, annoyance or distress to a third party or damage to property.  We have no further responsibility towards the client(s) including any return travel arrangements or alternative accommodation.

Any breakages or damage to the chalet by the client(s) must be brought to the attention of Ski La Roche and paid for before departure.  If you do not pay and/or the damage is not noticed until after you leave and/or items belonging in the Chalet have been removed we will inform you within one week of departure and the value will be deducted from your damages deposit.  Any costs, including legal expenses, involved in us collecting any excess or outstanding charges will be paid by you in addition to the aforementioned.

Whilst we clean and prepare the chalet thoroughly for guests following your departure you must leave the chalet clean and tidy.  All food and rubbish must be removed and all surfaces must be clear.  Failure to leave the chalet in a clean and tidy state will result in a £150 cleaning charge being deducted from your deposit.

Only those clients booked into the chalet and named on the booking form are to enter the chalet and use its facilities.  If a client wishes a third party not named on the booking form to visit the chalet it must be arranged with, and agreed by, Ski La Roche Ltd.

Self-catered bookings must adhere to the maximum group size referred to on the booking form. Failure to do so may result in the termination of the booking by us with the appropriate cancellation fee applied.

Chalet Ecole accommodates 10 people, La Petite Ecole 6 people and the Apartment 4 people. An extra bed will only be provided by prior agreement with us and for a supplement of €75.

You must inform us in advance if you need stairgates, travel cots or a highchair.

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

We aim to ensure that your booking and holiday requirements are met at all times. If you are not satisfied with any aspect please bring this our attention immediately and we will attempt to rectify the problem. If you do not we may not be able to deal with the problem on after your holiday.  If you are remain unsatisfied please inform us in writing within 14 days of your return.

ACCESS TO THE CHALET:

Access to the Chalet is from 4pm on your date of arrival and client(s) must vacate the chalet by 10am on departure day. This is to ensure we have time to prepare the chalet for all arriving guests.

CHILDREN:

Children must be supervised by parents at all times when in the chalet. Ski La Roche Ltd are not responsible for the supervision of children.

OTHER SUPPLIERS:

Ski La Roche may provide details of other suppliers for services you require during your stay or make bookings with them on your behalf at your request. Any bookings made with them will be subject to the suppliers own terms and conditions.

INDEMNITY:

The Party Organiser signs the booking form and accepts these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the client(s) and shall be responsible for all actions, loss, damage and costs caused by any client(s). They shall indemnify Ski La Roche Ltd against any claims including legal costs made against the company by any person or company.

WEBSITE INFORMATION:

Ski La Roche make every effort to ensure all information provided on our website (www.skilaroche.com) and in any literature is accurate.

A contract is made based on the terms of these booking conditions which are governed by English law and both parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts at all times.
